Our Story
Project X Designs LLC was founded in May 2023 in Comal County, Texas by Aaron Ulmer — a service-disabled veteran who traded deployments for a different kind of mission: building a business where craft and precision aren’t optional extras, they’re the whole point.
What started as a focused operation has grown into a fully equipped production studio with fiber, CO2, and UV laser systems alongside a fleet of professional-grade 3D printers. Every machine was chosen deliberately. Every capability was added with a specific purpose in mind.
Project X Designs is a sole-proprietor operation — which means when you work with us, you’re working directly with the person running the equipment, making the design decisions, and signing off on quality. No hand-offs. No outsourcing. Just a craftsman who takes the work seriously.
What We Make
Laser Engraving & Cutting
From stainless steel color marking to precision wood and acrylic cutting, we handle custom engraving jobs that demand tight tolerances. Tumblers, plaques, signage, awards, military gear — if it can be engraved, we’ve probably run it.
3D Printed Products
Multi-color, multi-material 3D prints including HueForge filament paintings, functional parts, and custom models. Full spectrum of materials from standard PLA to engineering-grade filaments with tight color matching.

Have an idea that doesn’t fit a standard product? Good. We handle the consultation, digital proofing, and production — finished piece built exactly to spec. No minimums on most items.
